Kathy Partida, M.D.
Dr. Partida is a graduate of the University of California system, having received a BS in biological sciences from UC Irvine (1977), medical degree from UC San Francisco (1981), and internship at UCSF’s extension campus in Fresno (1982).
She practiced primary care medicine for 3 years for the county of San Mateo, where she realized her “true love” was women’s healthcare. Because she found that she was energized by the special communication that women share, she entered the Kaiser Santa Clara (with Stanford affiliation) OB-GYN residency program.
She joined a midwifery-physician practice in Berkeley-Oakland, followed by 3 years in an all woman multi-specialty San Francisco practice. She worked for Virginia Mason: Issaquah and Bellevue from 1992 to 2001. She’s now excited to refresh and relocate her Eastside practice to Kirkland.
Kathy sees her patients very much as she sees her own children: she cares deeply for their ultimate welfare and tries to give information to help them make the best choices for their future. She believes a little hug is good for both patient and physician.
Kathy enjoys spending her off time doing many outdoor activities with her 2 very active sons.
Dr. Partida fluently speaks both English and Spanish.
Lorraine Robertson, MDA graduate of the University of Washington, her residency was at the University of California. Enjoying studying, she practiced as a dental hygienist 10 years before attending dental school for 2 years followed by medical school.
After her residency in obstetrics and gynecology, she joined Health Care for Women in downtown Seattle. In 1989 she moved her OB/GYN practice to Kirkland.
Believing that the responsibility of her medical discipline is to teach her patients how to care for themselves has influenced all parts of her practice. She believes that the physician should aid in surgical or medical intervention when the patient is unable to optimize health.
Clinically, she especially enjoys high-risk obstetrics, infertility, and gynecologic surgery, with emphasis in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures.
Being in love with life, her hobbies range from skiing to scuba diving, jet skiing, gardening, back packing, and traveling.
Married with seven children, she enjoys a busy personal life.
